Rhonda is well known in the community as an experienced, conscientious attorney who vigorously protects the interests of her clients. Her extensive knowledge of family law, combined with aggressive advocacy and expertise in the courtroom has earned her a rating of 8.5 (Excellent) in the Avvo ratings of attorneys.
Rhonda was born and raised in Springfield. She graduated with highest honors from Sangamon State University. She attended Southern Illinois University School of Law, where she served as an editor of the Southern Illinois Law Journal, coordinated the Jackson County Family Law Project, and worked in the school's Elder Law Clinic. Two scholarly articles she authored were chosen in competition for publication.
Upon graduation from law school, Rhonda joined Land of Lincoln Legal Assistance in Alton, representing indigent clients in family law matters. She practiced for several years in St. Louis and the Metro-East area of Illinois, courts which are reputed to be among the toughest in the country. Her skill and professionalism have been recognized by the Jackson County Bar Association, Madison County Bar Association, and the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association. She returned to her hometown in 2005 to be closer to her family.
